Keele University campus , Garden Vets Hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital providing exceptional care

24 hours a day, 365 days a year . Our hospital offers advanced diagnostic imaging, modern surgical theatres, dedicated inpatient facilities and a collaborative team of experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses and specialists. As a teaching-focused hospital, you'll also play a role in supporting and inspiring the next generation of veterinary professionals. Every day brings something different, with a diverse caseload that allows you to fully utilise and develop your clinical skills. The Role: This is a full-time Core Hours position, ideal for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys both consulting and medicine within a busy hospital setting. You'll manage a varied caseload, work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, and provide outstanding care from initial consultation through to treatment and discharge. Your responsibilities will include: Managing consultations independently. Working up medical cases and developing treatment plans. Triaging emergency patients. Performing routine surgical procedures. Assessing and managing medical and surgical patients from admission to discharge. Managing inpatient care to a high clinical standard. Prescribing safely and appropriately. Working collaboratively with colleagues across all clinical disciplines to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. About You: We're looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is confident making clinical decisions and enjoys working within a fast-paced hospital environment. This role is

not suitable for a newly qualified Veterinary Surgeon , as you'll need to be need to be comfortable working with a good level of clinical independence from day one. You'll ideally have: Experience in small animal practice within a hospital or busy first-opinion environment. Strong medical and consulting skills. Confidence working up cases independently. Experience performing routine surgery. Excellent communication and client care skills. A collaborative approach and passion for delivering outstanding patient care. A commitment to continued learning and professional development. Working Pattern - We believe a healthy work-life balance is essential. Core Hours Full-time. Four-day working week. Shifts between

7:30am and 7:30pm . Typical shifts: 7:30am - 6:30pm 8:30am - 7:30pm Weekend Rota 1 in 4 weekends. Saturday & Sunday:

8:00am - 7:00pm . Time off in lieu
