We’re hiring for a Head of Compliance to support our growing Compliance team.

To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we’re looking for a dedicated Head of Compliance to join our dynamic Compliance team. You will be responsible for leading and managing NFP Europe’s group compliance function.

• Strong understanding of the UK and, preferably, Republic of Ireland regulatory regimes as they apply to general insurance and/or wealth management activities.
• Ability to travel to a range of office locations as required.
• ICA or CII qualifications.

Using These Skills, You Will Be

• Own and develop the compliance strategy within NFP's European division, ensuring it matches business objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term goals. Provide strategic regulatory and compliance advice to senior executives.
• Owning, maintaining, and continuously enhancing the Compliance Framework, including policy architecture, regulatory risk assessments, consumer and conduct risk frameworks, product governance systems, conflicts of interest processes, and outsourcing oversight, ensuring compliance is fully integrated into risk management, operational resilience, and corporate governance structures.
• Designing and delivering a risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance programme, providing high-quality management information, insights, and opinions to the General Counsel, Boards and their Committees, Executive Leadership Team, and Business functions, while ensuring SM&CR and SEAR & IAF responsibilities are effectively mapped, documented, and governed.
• Preparing and delivering compliance reporting, management information, and regulatory training to the Board, Executive Leadership Team, Senior Business Leaders, and wider organisation to strengthen regulatory awareness and support effective decision-making.
• Acting as senior point of contact for all FCA and CBI interactions, including supervisory engagement, thematic reviews, deep dives, formal requests, regulatory submissions, notifications and SMF/PCF applications, while maintaining honest relationships with regulators and supporting proactive self-reporting where required.
• Representing the organisation in industry consultations and regulatory working groups, providing appropriate challenge and ensuring robust decision-making in all aspects of regulatory engagement.
• Setting the strategic direction and methodology for the Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring it remains risk-based, proportionate, and aligned with expectations, while leading thematic reviews, conduct audits, distribution chain oversight, and file checking activities.
• Advancing material compliance findings and driving timely and effective remediation across the business, ensuring assurance activities demonstrate robust customer protections and consistently deliver good customer outcomes.
• Leading the firm's Consumer Duty strategy by coordinating product governance processes, fair value assessments, distribution oversight, and outcome testing, ensuring the organisation proactively identifies and remediates risks of customer harm and being responsible for the preparation and sign-off of the annual Consumer Duty Board Report.
• Ensuring robust oversight of Appointed Representatives, sub-brokers, and outsourced service providers by approving risk assessments, due diligence activities, and annual oversight reviews, while challenging distribution arrangements to maintain regulatory compliance and customer outcome integrity.
• Leading, developing, and mentoring the UK and Republic of Ireland Compliance teams, driving capability development, succession planning, and a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability, while coaching senior leaders to enhance regulatory awareness and strengthen decision-making capability.
