Job description
Job summary
An exciting opportunity is available within the Complex Emotional Needs Service - Hope and Recovery (CENS).

The post holder will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians to effectively deliver Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to adult mental health clients with severe and complex trauma, interpersonal difficulties, low distress tolerance and emotional dysregulation issues. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a highly specialist treatment pathway which has the power to bring hope and enduring change to clients. The post comes with a range of excellent development opportunities.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead a Pan-Powys DBT service with two DBT teams, North and South Powys, as well as providing DBT link in-reach to the acute mental health ward and out-of-County placements. The DBT service is a treatment pathway of the Complex Emotional Needs Service, which sits within the broader Psychology Department. The post holder will manage their own caseload of highly complex clients. They will provide extended client assessments, consultations and teaching to CMHTs and other teams, as well as managing the core DBT offer and offering other evidence-based CENS interventions as needed. Specialist training and supervision towards accreditation is available and supported.

Applications would be welcomed from experienced, qualified and accredited DBT practitioners, or from newly trained practitioners willing to be supported to gain full DBT accreditation.

This is a Pan-Powys post, with opportunities for some blended working. The physical base will be negotiated (in Newtown, Brecon, Bronllys or Llandrindod Wells) with some expectations of travel between bases during work hours.
