Job description

Salaried GP £96,926 to £107,903 per annum, depending on experience, pro rata.

gtd healthcare is one of the largest, not-for-profit, NHS commissioned primary and urgent care providers in North West England. We are values-driven, embrace the ethos of social enterprise and care for people, families and communities, in order to improve their health and wider wellbeing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Salaried GP to join our small team providing care at New Bank Health Centre. We're looking for a GP, experienced or newly qualified who is keen to be part of a larger organisation as well as a smaller practice team.

New Bank Health Centre is a practice located in Longsight, Manchester. We are situated on Stockport Road in a purpose built medical centre which offers great links to public transport.

We put our people at the heart of everything we do and we are passionate about providing the best possible healthcare for our patients.

We are recruiting for a part time position, the successful candidate will be required to work on a Monday, the other day will be confirmed at interview.

Main duties of the job

You will provide routine and urgent clinical care for both acute and long term conditions working to local and national guidelines.

The daily clinical workload is split equally amongst all clinicians with additional workload kept to a minimum by our excellent care navigation team, who work hard to signpost to the most appropriate of our extensive local community services.

The home visit demand on the practice is generally low however, there are supportive measures required and you may be required to carry out visits occasionally.

We have a practice pharmacist to support GPs with daily medicines management requests and reviews. All practice clinical admin (e.g. secondary care documents, path lab reports, patient nhs forms) is shared between clinicians daily.

A typical day is structured with 15 minute appointments as standard (except for follow ups/results) with 2/3rds of the session being clinical and 1/3rd clinical admin. Sessions are 4 hours 10 minutes. Non NHS work is also a requirement of the role, however this is remunerated as additional income to the base salary.

You will need to possess strong leadership qualities and will be expected to work with the team to continually strive to improve standards of care and, in particular, achieve QoF targets and KLOE objectives as outlined by CQC.

About us

At gtd healthcare we are keen to develop and support staff to excel their career aspirations whilst making a positive difference to patients and the community. We put our people at the heart of everything we do. We are a values driven organisation and we are passionate about providing the best possible healthcare for our patients.
