Cambridgeshire
Up to £50,000
Monday - Friday Days
Ready to build something, not just maintain it?
If you're the type of engineer who spots recurring issues and thinks, "There's a better way," then keep reading.
This isn't a role where you'll spend every day chasing breakdowns. It's your chance to join a food manufacturing site that's entering a new phase.
Following a recent transformation and investment in its Senior Leadership Team, the business is building a stronger engineering culture with reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement at its core. They need someone who wants to roll their sleeves up, challenge the norm and leave the site in a better place than they found it.
If you've been looking for a role where your ideas are listened to and your work creates lasting change, this is it.
What you'll be doing
- Drive machinery reliability across the site, reducing recurring failures and increasing uptime.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement engineering solutions that deliver measurable improvements.
- Use downtime trends and maintenance data to eliminate root causes-not just fix the symptoms.
- Improve maintenance strategies to maximise equipment performance.
- Work alongside Engineering and Production to increase efficiency and overall equipment reliability.
- Support machinery upgrades, site investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring
- Experience within Food, FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A strong multi-skilled engineering background.
- A passion for reliability, efficiency and solving engineering problems permanently.
- Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques.
- An engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent).
Why make the move?
- Up to £50,000
- Monday-Friday days - your evenings and weekends are yours.
- Be part of a site that's investing in its future-not standing still.
- Work for a leadership team committed to long-term improvement.
- A role where your ideas won't sit in a notebook-they'll be put into action.
- The opportunity to make a visible impact on site performance and engineering standards.
