This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £22.00 per hour , Monday to Friday working, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, paid induction, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, Category CE Driver, Class 1 Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Trunk Driver, or Class 1 Tramper Driver .
Shifts • Monday to Friday • AM starts between 04:00 – 06:00 • PM starts between 18:00 – 20:00 • Overtime available Rates of Pay • £19.00 per hour (Days) • £20.00 per hour (Nights) • £22.00 per hour (Weekends) • Weekly pay Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates of pay • Weekly pay • Ongoing work • Overtime opportunities • Site canteen • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme • Driver assessment and paid induction • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include: • Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly • Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: • A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum of six months' Category CE driving experience • A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping • A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation • Strong communication skills Desirable Experience • Previous experience driving commercial Category CE vehicles • Previous trunking experience would be advantageous • Previous RDC or store delivery experience would be beneficial Training Provided • Driver assessment required prior to starting • One-day paid induction following a successful assessment • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are looking for ongoing Class 1 driving work with excellent rates of pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, and long-term prospects, apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch. xwwtmva
