Stock Control Administrator Suffolk

We are currently seeking a Stock Control Administrator for our well established client based in Stanton about 10 miles from Bury St Edmunds. This is an important role that is based both in the office as well as some more physical duties prepare stock and receiving deliveries as required. This is a full time permanent role offering a salary of 28000 and an excellent opportunity to join a friendly team.

Are providers of a wide range Air Compressors and related to services various industries within East Anglia and beyond! This year the company have celebrated 35 years in business and moved into some news premises.

The role

This is an important role within the business where you will manage and control the inventory of the stores and equipment. Maintaining the stores and ensuring accurate stock levels turnover of stock and to ensure safe and proper storage. You will provide quotations of goods and enquiries from new and existing customers to the business and ensure they have all the information they need. Also taking responsibility for monthly spare parts orders. Providing spare parts for the engineering team to ensure they can complete maintenance/ repair jobs for customers. You will apso prepare and organise the dispatch of purchased parts direct to customers as required.

Duties and Responsibilities will also include:

• To assess monthly stock requirements by organising parts requisitioning with the Service team
• Take ownership of the administrative process including providing prices and quotations for spare parts for the service team install and sales teams as required
• Organise monthly Service team stock purchases including SOPS and POPS
• Adhoc parts orders as required
• Receive inspe4ct and record incoming goods enduring they match deliveries and collections
• Organise and manage the storage of goods to optimise space and ensure safety
• Collate spares for all the engineers jobs. Organise for ease of identification and allocation to customers jobs
• Inform Service and Installations teams that parts are ready for jobs to enable them to be booked in
• Prepare and process outgoings shipments
• Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock checks and audits. Investigating and reporting any discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with H&S regulations within the stores/ workshop and yard by maintaining tidy work areas
• Completing sales orders for Hir making sure the Service Office are kept in the loop so any service intervals as upheld
• Keep the inventory of equipment owned up to date
• Arrange annual PAT testing and waste management collections
• Dealing with incoming calls
• Provide occasional cover within the team as required

The Person

This is an integral role within a very small buy supportive team and we are seeking someone with the following skills and attributes:

• Ideally you will have experience within a similar role within stock/ inventory control
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with experience of MS office and Sage would also be very helpful but not essential
• Some Engineering experience would also be useful but not essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• A brilliant team player and happy to work in a role where everyone pitches in to get the job done
• An ability to work under pressure as needed whilst upholding excellent attention to detail
• A full driving licence is helpful in order to make the occasional delivery
• FLT licence too if not training will be given.
• Whilst this is a desk-based role some more physical duties are required too

Details

This is a full time permanent role offering a salary of 28000. Working hours are 08:00 17:00 Monday Friday. Due to the rural location of the business unless you live in Stanton or very close by a driving licence will be required in order to get to work on a daily basis.
