Job Description

Field Inventory Specialist (Long-Term Temporary Contract)

\n

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Contract: Long-Term Temporary until March 2027
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 5:00pm
Hybrid Working: Following training, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

\n

Are you an analytical and detail-oriented supply chain professional looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting for a Field Inventory Specialist to join the European Headquarters of a leading global brand, based in modern offices in Hemel Hempstead.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, international business where you'll play a key role in ensuring the effective management of field inventory while supporting customers, sales teams and internal stakeholders across the business.

\n

Please note: Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Hemel Hempstead. Due to the office location not being close to the train station, having your own transport is highly desirable.

\n

The Role

\n

As the Field Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for processing capital equipment orders, monitoring and reconciling hospital consigned inventory and sales representative assigned stock. You'll work closely with the Sales team to ensure company policies are followed and key performance indicators are achieved.

\n

The role involves analysing inventory data, driving optimisation programmes with local business leaders and customers, and making full use of global systems and reporting tools to improve inventory performance.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Support field inventory management activities, including cycle count scheduling, monitoring progress and using inventory management tools.
  • \n
  • Process and analyse cycle count data using Microsoft Excel, SAP and other company systems.
  • \n
  • Produce and maintain reports relating to inventory discrepancies, expiry scrap and optimisation programmes.
  • \n
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators.
  • \n
  • Support new product launches and product transitions.
  • \n
  • Assist with the rollout and adoption of field inventory management tools.
  • \n
  • Analyse inventory performance to identify opportunities to optimise stock levels while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • \n
  • Build strong working relationships with business unit managers, hospital staff and other key stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • \n
  • Process customer orders received via email, fax and telephone.
  • \n
  • Monitor the end-to-end delivery process, liaising with distribution centres and carriers.
  • \n
  • Resolve customer and sales representative service queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • \n
\n

About You

\n

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems and improving processes. You will have:

\n
    \n
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within a supply chain, inventory management or similar environment.
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • \n
  • Experience using SAP.
  • \n
  • A customer-focused approach.
  • \n
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • \n
  • The flexibility to adapt to new systems, processes and ways of working.
  • \n
\n

Desirable skills include:

\n
    \n
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • \n
  • Experience with Tableau or other database and reporting tools.
  • \n
\n

What's in It for You?

\n
    \n
  • Long-term temporary opportunity until March 2027.
  • \n
  • Hybrid working after your initial training period.
  • \n
  • Attractive benefits package from Tate Recruitment including holiday pay, free on site parking and access to the Tate Awards Scheme including store discounts.
  • \n
  • The opportunity to work for a recognised global organisation at its European Headquarters.
  • \n
  • Modern, professional offices in Hemel Hempstead.
  • \n
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • \n
  • Excellent training and ongoing development opportunities.
  • \n
  • Exposure to an international business with opportunities to broaden your experience.
  • \n
\n

If you're looking for a varied role where your analytical skills and supply chain experience will make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

\n

\n

Please be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled. Interviews will take place throughout this period, therefore we encourage you to apply early to avoid disappointment.

\n

\n

Tate is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.

\n

Tate is committed to promoting equal opportunities. To ensure that every candidate has the best experience with us, we encourage you to let us know if there are any adjustments we can make during the application or interview process.
