Help learners find the confidence to communicate, connect and take part in every school day.

You'll support pupils with speech, language and communication needs, helping them access learning, express their thoughts and develop meaningful relationships with others.

Working alongside teachers and specialist professionals, you'll provide patient and consistent support that helps every learner feel heard and understood. This is a varied role where small moments, a new word, a successful interaction or a confident contribution, can represent huge progress.

Why work with Protocol Education?

We know that communication sits at the heart of learning, confidence and connection. We'll support you in developing your skills while helping you find a role where your contribution is valued.

You'll receive:

  • Weekly PAYE pay, with no umbrella companies
  • FREE access to our online CPD Academy
  • SEND, communication and Safeguarding training
  • A dedicated local consultant
  • Long-term and permanent opportunities
  • Career development support

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with speech, language and communication needs
  • Assisting with targeted communication activities
  • Encouraging learners to express themselves confidently
  • Adapting resources and instructions where appropriate
  • Supporting communication during lessons and social activities
  • Working closely with teachers and specialist professionals
  • Monitoring progress and sharing observations with the wider team
  • Creating an inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued

What we're looking for

You'll be patient, attentive and able to communicate clearly. You'll understand that every learner communicates differently and be willing to adapt your approach to meet individual needs.

You'll also be:

  • Empathetic and encouraging
  • A strong listener
  • Organised and proactive
  • Calm and adaptable
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people

Experience in education, healthcare, SEND or communication support is beneficial but not essential.

Who this role would suit

  • Speech and Language Graduates
  • Teaching Assistants
  • Learning Support Assistants
  • Psychology Graduates
  • Healthcare Assistants
  • Aspiring Speech and Language Therapists

Apply today and help learners build the skills and confidence to communicate with the world around them.
