Autism Support Worker Autism Support Worker - Swindon | Full-Time / Part-Time | £85-£110 Per Day | Immediate Start Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in Swindon. As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to understand each childs individual needs and provide consistent, structured support throughout the school day. The Role of an Autism Support Worker As an Autism Support Worker, your responsibilities will include: * Providing dedicated one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with Autism and additional learning needs. * Supporting children with Autism to engage with lessons, classroom activities and the wider school environment. * Following and implementing individual support strategies and recommendations outlined in pupils support plans. * Helping pupils understand and follow classroom routines, instructions and transitions * Supporting children to recognise and manage their emotions What We Are Looking for in an Autism Support Worker The successful Autism Support Worker will be patient, empathetic and committed to supporting children with additional needs. You should be able to build positive relationships with pupils and remain calm and consistent when supporting children who may experience communication difficulties, sensory sensitivities or emotional dysregulation. We are looking for an Autism Support Worker who: * Has a genuine interest in supporting children with Autism and additional needs. * Understands that every child with Autism has individual strengths, needs and communication preferences. * Can remain patient, calm and supportive in challenging situations. * Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary and school-based support team. * Is willing to learn about Autism, SEN and evidence-based support strategies. * Is reliable, proactive and committed to promoting positive outcomes for children.
