We are currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a senior Clinical Governance professional with a key focus on Maternity and Neonatal Services. Key Responsibilities * Support the divisional Triumvirate in implementing and monitoring an effective and compliant system of working to ensure robust divisional governance which is in line with national best practice and aligns across divisions. * Managing all activities relating to patient safety, risk, compliance and audit and patient experience and act as the divisional lead and central point of contact for all divisional governance activities. * Enabling all staff to actively participate in identifying, actioning and evaluating all patient safety and risk issues. * Ensure all patient safety events are presented and discussed at the weekly PSERF panel and co-ordinate any resulting investigations. * Promote a culture of informed questioning, challenge, trend analysis triangulation, challenge and assurance to ensure lessons are learned and the division changes practice in a way which has a positive effect on patient, outcomes, patient experience and reduces harm. * Leading and supporting the communication and management of the issues through DCIQ (Datix) in line with policy. * Analyse trends to ensure actions are put in place to reduce the risk of recurrence.
