We're looking for a skilled Pattern Shop Machinist to join our Manufacturing team, responsible for machining high-precision patterns and carbon components that support the development and production of our race cars. What You'll Be Doing
As a Pattern Shop Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up and machining patterns, jigs and carbon composite components using advanced 5-axis machining centres. Working closely with colleagues across Manufacturing and Technical departments, you'll help ensure parts are produced right first time and delivered to demanding deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting, operating and optimising 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
- Machining patterns, jigs and carbon components to engineering drawings and specification.
- Carrying out self-inspection activities to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Collaborating with manufacturing, inspection and technical teams to resolve machining challenges.
- Maintaining accurate work order and production data.
- Ensuring effective shift handovers and continuous workflow.
- Contributing ideas that improve quality, efficiency and manufacturing performance.
This job description is not exhaustive, and the job holder will be required to carry out from time-to-time tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within their capabilities.
This role operates on a day shift, Monday to Thursday, working 07:30 to 18:30.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:
- A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent engineering experience.
- Experience operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres.
- A strong understanding of engineering materials and machining processes.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
