The Role

As a Private Client Solicitor youll become a trusted adviser to a broad range of clients helping them navigate sensitive legal matters with confidence and reassurance.

Youll manage your own varied caseload providing tailored legal advice across a range of private client matters including Wills Probate Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work.

Working closely with colleagues across the department youll deliver an exceptional client experience from initial instruction through to completion ensuring every client feels supported informed and cared for throughout the process.

The role offers an excellent balance of independent case management client interaction and collaborative working within an experienced and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing your own varied Private Client caseload from instruction through to completion.

• Advising clients on Wills Probate and Estate Administration matters.

• Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).

• Managing Court of Protection matters.

• Delivering tailored legal advice that reflects each clients individual circumstances.

• Meeting clients in person by telephone and remotely.

• Building long-term client relationships through exceptional service.

• Explaining complex legal issues in a clear practical and compassionate manner.

• Drafting legal documents accurately and efficiently.

• Maintaining excellent file management and case records.

• Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requirements.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental targets and KPIs.

• Supporting business development initiatives and helping to grow the firms reputation.

• Developing relationships with professional contacts and referral partners where appropriate.

• Maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Private Client Solicitor who combines strong technical ability with genuine compassion and excellent communication skills.

Youll understand that many private client matters involve sensitive conversations and emotional decisions and youll be able to guide clients with patience empathy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Solicitor

• At least two years post-qualification experience in Private Client law.

• Experience handling a varied private client caseload independently.

• Strong technical knowledge of Wills Probate LPAs and Court of Protection matters.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A calm compassionate and reassuring approach with clients.
