Staffline are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for our client, a leading Food Distribution client based in Barnsley, committed to delivering high-quality confectionary goods to various locations across the UK.

As part of our growth, we are looking for skilled and dedicated HGV Class 1 drivers to join our team working full time and part time shifts across the week.
We are looking for day drivers to start at 04:00 working Monday to Friday and night drivers to start between 15:00 and 18:00 working Monday to Friday. We do also have part time and adhoc shifts available through the week and on weekends.
Assessments are available and we have immediate starts!
PAYE Rates:
Weekday £16.95 P/H
Weeknight £18.81 P/H
Saturday Day £18.31 P/H
Saturday Night £20.17 P/H
Sunday Day £19.49 P/H
Sunday Night £21.35 P/H
Minimum guaranteed shift payment is 9 hours 36 minutes.
Your Time at Work
Responsibilities:
Perform Class 1 Depot Trunking work, delivering food products to different destinations throughout the UK.
Ensure timely and safe transportation of goods while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate deliveries and meet deadlines efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.

Our Perfect Worker
- Holds a valid HGV Class 1 license with relevant CPC certification and Tacho card.
- Has a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 experience
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work long shifts, averaging 11+ hours, with a flexible approach to start times.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
