Physical & Sensory Support Assistant Wilshire - Trowbridge | Full/Part time available | £85-£110 per day | September 2026 Start Are you a passionate, patient and enthusiastic Physical & Sensory Support Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant role is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children daily life by supporting their physical development, sensory regulation, communication and independence. Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, you will help create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where the child can thrive both academically and personally. Every day is different, and youll play a key role in celebrating achievements and building confidence. The Role As a Physical & Sensory Support Assistant the role involves: * Implementing personalised sensory strategies and programmes designed by therapists and their professionals * Supporting the child physical needs, mobility and position where appropriate * Supporting communication using verbal, visual ad alternative communication methods as appropriate * Promoting independence, confidence and self-esteem through positive, child-centred support About you This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant would be suitable for: * Has an interest in child development, physical support or sensory integration * Has excellent communication and observation skills * Is committed to promoting inclusion, independence and the wellbeing of children * This Inclusive Coach / Intervention Specialist would be suitable for people with backgrounds or aspirations in the following: Teaching Assistance, Psychology, Childrens Support Work, Special Educational Needs (SEN). * Passionate about making a difference and creating long lasting positive relationships with children What we offer This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant role offers: * £85-£110 per day, depending on experience * PAYE - Weekly pay * Full and Part time roles starting in September 2026 * A career to progress with hands on practical experience If you are passionate about helping children reach their full potential and want to be part of a caring, supportive team at a welcoming school based in Wiltshire - Trowbridge this would be a great opportunity for you.
