Supply Chain Planner

Leeds Hybrid Working PAYE Rate: £21.54ph - £23.08ph

We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join a global manufacturing organisation based in Leeds on a temporary basis until March 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong supply chain planning background who enjoys managing supplier performance, improving operational processes, and working collaboratively across a global business.

What You'll Be Doing

* Managing a portfolio of global suppliers * Coordinating daily supply chain planning activities * Monitoring supplier performance, identifying risks and resolving potential supply chain issues * Working closely with internal stakeholders * Leading supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. * Supporting inventory management, demand planning and supply continuity activities. * Analysing supply chain data to identify trends * Driving process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma * Collaborating with cross-functional teams

What We're Looking For

* Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. * Previous experience in a Supply Chain Planner, Materials Planner or similar planning role. * Experience managing supplier performance and supplier escalations. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed planning decisions. * Good understanding of inventory management, demand planning and supply chain operations. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering environment.

Desirable Skills

* Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership principles. * Experience with inbound materials management and supply continuity. * Understanding of network exception management. * Lean or Six Sigma experience. * Experience using ERP/MRP planning systems.
