Job description
Ashton Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for two Receptionists to join a busy, secure manufacturing and engineering site in Castlereagh. The successful candidates are expected to start at the end of September 2026, subject to completion of the required security clearance and pre-employment screening. Job title: Receptionist Job Type: Temporary - Permanent Hours of work: 30 Hours per Week Monday - Friday 07:00-19:00 Salary: £15.00 per Hour Location: Castlereagh, Belfast This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous reception, administration or customer service experience who enjoys working with people and delivering a professional front-of-house service. As the first point of contact for employees, contractors, visitors and delivery drivers, you'll play an important role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the site. You'll provide a welcoming and efficient reception service while supporting the wider facilities team with a range of administrative and front-of-house duties. Key Responsibilities Welcome visitors, contractors and employees to the site. Manage visitor registration, access passes and security procedures. Answer, screen and transfer incoming telephone calls. Respond to general enquiries professionally and efficiently. Coordinate meeting room bookings where required. Receive and distribute post, deliveries and courier packages. Maintain reception and visitor areas to a high standard. Provide general administrative support. Ensure all reception activities comply with site security, health & safety and company procedures. About You We're looking for someone who is friendly, organised and enjoys providing excellent customer service. You'll have: Previous experience in a receptionist, administration or customer service role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A professional and approachable manner. Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. The ability to prioritise work and remain calm in a busy environment. A proactive, reliable and customer-focused attitude. Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or secure site would be beneficial, although not essential. Security Clearance Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants will be required to complete: Access NI Clearance BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) Screening Employment will be subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks.
