\n CBW Staffing Solutions are currently hiring for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Plumber for our facilities management client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Mechanical Plumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the end-client’s mechanical infrastructure.\n

\n This is a great opportunity for a mechanical plumber seeking a varied role, combining work at a major Northampton site with mobile maintenance across commercial and industrial locations. Successful candidates will be based around the Northampton area and must be comfortable with regional travel.\n

  • Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

  • Core hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
    • \n
  • Participation in 'out of hours' on call rota
    • \n

Responsibilities:\n
\n
    \n
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, pump systems, air compressors, water chillers, plumbing, boilers, and other related equipment.
    • \n
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
    • \n
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
    • \n
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
    • \n
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • \n
  • Assist in the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.
    • \n
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
    • \n
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide timely resolutions.
    • \n
Requirements:\n
\n
    \n
  • Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
    • \n
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the facilities management industry.
    • \n
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and boilers.
    • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
    • \n
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and procedures.
    • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
    • \n
