As an Asset Manager, you'll help shape the physical future of Kensington and Chelsea-ensuring our residents have safe, comfortable, and high-quality homes to live in. It's a chance to dive deep into our property portfolio, turn data into real-world improvements, and work directly with communities, contractors, and internal teams to build a fairer, safer borough.

Working Style: You'll be based in the Borough for 3 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you're working on-site or collaborating behind the scenes, you'll be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering high standards and making a real difference to residents' lives.

What you'll be doing:

Your focus will be making sure our housing and commercial portfolios are safe, sustainable, and fit for the future. You'll champion high standards and interrogate stock condition data to shape long-term investment plans and lifecycle replacement programmes.

This means working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to monitor compliance and keep critical projects on track. Your insights will directly guide our wider Asset Management Strategy-shaping capital programmes, building safety works, and key sustainability initiatives that help us meet our Decent Homes by 2030 target.

You'll also be a key voice for technical, design, and regulatory standards, integrating vital requirements for energy, fire safety, and resident safety across all our programmes. By building strong, trusting relationships with residents, tenants, and contractors, you'll ensure we deliver excellent technical outcomes and improve satisfaction across the borough.

What you'll bring:

You'll bring proven experience in asset management, building surveying, construction project management, or a related property discipline-ideally with a background in regulated housing or the public sector. You have a sharp ability to manipulate large asset datasets and translate complex building information into clear, practical investment choices.

You've got a strong grasp of compliance and building safety, and you're just as comfortable navigating asset databases as you are collaborating across diverse teams. You're an adaptable, proactive communicator who knows how to listen, build trust with stakeholders, and coordinate complex programmes with great attention to detail.
