The Role As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. Working within a modern machining environment, you'll play a key role in delivering quality products efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities * Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines. * Manufacture precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications. * Select appropriate tooling, machine settings, and cutting parameters for each job. * Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment. * Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately. * Maintain exceptional quality standards and work to tight tolerances. * Meet production schedules while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. * Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised work area. * Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and productivity. * Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to support production objectives. About You To be successful in this role, you'll have: * Previous experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment. * Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines. * The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings. * A strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards. * Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, and gauges. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * The ability to work independently and as part of a skilled manufacturing team. * A positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality components. Desirable Experience * Experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens control systems. * Experience machining a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel. * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement techniques. * Experience working within an ISO-accredited manufacturing environment.
