The Role

As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

* Providing targeted one-to-one and small-group support to children with speech, language and communication needs. * Supporting pupils with speech delays, language difficulties, Autism and social communication challenges. * Implementing communication strategies and activities recommended by teachers and Speech and Language professionals. * Helping children develop their vocabulary, listening, understanding and expressive communication skills. * Supporting pupils to communicate their needs, feelings and ideas using appropriate communication methods. * Supporting children with emotional regulation by helping them develop effective ways to express themselves and communicate their needs.

About You

The ideal Speech & Language Teaching Assistant will be compassionate, patient and approachable, with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and communication needs. You will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, be proactive and adaptable, and be confident working as part of a wider team.Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential. Most importantly, you will be enthusiastic about developing your understanding of communication, child development and inclusive education.

What We Offer

This Speech & Language Teaching Assistant position offers:

* £85-£110 per day, depending on experience. * PAYE weekly pay. * Full-time and part-time opportunities starting in September 2026. * Practical experience supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.
