The Job:\n
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled gardens team responsible for maintaining and developing a stunning 300 acre historic landscape. \n
\n
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain ornamental gardens, borders, lawns and landscaped areas to an exceptional standard\n
\n- Carry out planting, pruning, training, soil preparation, irrigation and general horticultural maintenance\n
\n- Assist with the continued development and improvement of the estate gardens\n
\n- Support the maintenance of the kitchen garden, specialist planting areas and seasonal displays\n
\n- Operate horticultural equipment safely while maintaining high standards of presentation across the estate\n
\n- Work independently and as part of the gardens team, ensuring excellent attention to detail in all aspects of garden maintenance\n

\nOur client manages a prestigious country estate set within a magnificent 300-acre historic landscape. With significant investment in the gardens and ongoing development projects, they are committed to maintaining exceptional horticultural standards while providing a supportive environment where staff can continue to develop their skills and careers.\n
\n
The Candidate:
- Previous professional gardening or horticultural experience with strong plant knowledge\n
\n- RHS Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and practical skills in pruning, planting, soil preparation and irrigation\n
\n- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for maintaining high-quality ornamental gardens\n
\n- Able to work both independently and as part of a professional team\n
\n- Positive, reliable and proactive approach to work with a commitment to high standards\n
\n- Full UK driving licence\n
\n
The Package:
- Salary up to £33,000 depending on experience\n
\n- Fixed term contract (24 months)\n
\n- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)\n
\n- Overtime paid when required\n
\n- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n

Candidate Requirements\n
