\n Rate: £42.00 Umbrella LTD | £32.55 PAYE (Per Hour) \n
Hours: 37 (5 days a week)\n

\n We are working on behalf of a leading housing association to recruit an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to support the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs, voids and planned maintenance services across the Leatherhead and Dorking areas.\n
\n
\n Reporting to the Neighbourhood Repairs Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring repair, maintenance and construction works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards of cost, quality and customer satisfaction.\n
\n
\n This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified surveyor with strong technical knowledge, experience within social housing or residential property, and a customer-focused approach.\n
\n
The Role\n
\nAs a Maintenance Surveyor, you will be responsible for:\n
\n
    \n
  • Undertaking pre- and post-inspections for responsive repairs, void works and cyclical maintenance programmes
    • \n
  • Carrying out detailed building and technical surveys to assess property condition, identify defects and determine associated risks
    • \n
  • Diagnosing building defects and recommending appropriate repair or remedial solutions
    • \n
  • Inspecting major void properties and ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales
    • \n
  • Preparing clear and accurate survey reports, specifications, schedules of work and recommendations
    • \n
  • Planning and coordinating repair, maintenance and construction works in line with agreed cost, time and quality requirements
    • \n
  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with relevant KPIs, policies and standards
    • \n
  • Managing works through to completion and carrying out post-inspections to confirm quality and compliance
    • \n
  • Engaging professionally with residents, customers, leaseholders, contractors and internal stakeholders
    • \n
  • Supporting the delivery of excellent customer satisfaction while minimising defects and repeat repairs
    • \n
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with relevant health and safety legislation, regulatory requirements and housing standards
    • \n
  • Providing technical advice and support to colleagues and operational teams
    • \n
About You\n
\nTo be considered, you will ideally have:\n
\n
    \n
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance, or an equivalent relevant qualification
    • \n
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, such as RICS or CIOB
    • \n
  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Surveyor, Repairs Surveyor, Building Surveyor, Property Surveyor or similar
    • \n
  • Strong experience carrying out pre- and post-inspections within responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance or cyclical works
    • \n
  • Good knowledge of building construction, property maintenance and common building defects
    • \n
  • Experience preparing survey reports, specifications and schedules of work
    • \n
  • The ability to assess defects, identify risks and recommend appropriate remedial works
    • \n
  • Experience managing contractors and monitoring performance against KPIs
    • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
    • \n
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage resident and leaseholder expectations
    • \n
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload across multiple properties
    • \n
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required due to the nature of the role
    • \n
