Physical & Sensory Support Assistant Wilshire - Trowbridge | Full/Part time available | £85-£110 per day | September 2026 Start Are you a passionate, patient and enthusiastic Physical & Sensory Support Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant role is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children daily life by supporting their physical development, sensory regulation, communication and independence. Working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, you will help create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where the child can thrive both academically and personally. Every day is different, and you'll play a key role in celebrating achievements and building confidence. The Role As a Physical & Sensory Support Assistant the role involves: Implementing personalised sensory strategies and programmes designed by therapists and their professionals Supporting the child physical needs, mobility and position where appropriate Supporting communication using verbal, visual ad alternative communication methods as appropriate Promoting independence, confidence and self-esteem through positive, child-centred support About you This Physical & Sensory Support Assistant would be suitable for: Has an interest in child development, physical support or sensory integration Has excellent communication and observation skills Is committed to promoting inclusion, independence and the wellbeing of children This Inclusive Coach / Intervention Specialist would be suitable for people with backgrounds or aspirations in the following: Teaching Assistance, Psychology, Children's Support Work, Special Educational Needs (SEN).
