Job description

NHS Occupational Therapist – Community Paediatrics Band 7 Occupational Therapist within Community Paediatrics in Reading UK. Salary up to £31 per hour. This is an ongoing locum opportunity with full-time, part-time, and flexible hours considered. Dive into this exciting role where your expertise in a clinical specialism will shine and strategically guide your team. Your profound knowledge in paediatrics is the key as you work with children and young people facing complex challenges. As some community work is involved, a car driver is essential. Why choose locum work? Not only does it provide flexibility and exceptional pay, but it also allows you to explore varied roles and work environments, enhancing your skills and experience. Perks and benefits * – Competitive hourly rate: Earn up to £31 per hour, offering excellent financial incentives for your specialist skills. * – Flexible working conditions: Whether you prefer full-time, part-time, or a mix to suit your lifestyle, we have options. * – Professional development: As a source of expertise, you will have opportunities to support and develop your colleagues, showcasing and expanding your leadership skills. * – Career support: Locum roles offer a perfect platform for enhancing your CV with varied experiences. * – Networking opportunities: Meet other like-minded professionals, expanding your industry contacts and friendships. What you will do: * – Conduct specialist clinical assessments and provide treatment for children and young people within the paediatric speciality. * – Support and develop colleagues, being the go-to person for advice and expertise in your field. * – Undertake community visits as necessary—hence the need for a driving licence. * – Focus on cases involving complex presentations, supporting other clinicians and less experienced staff in managing these. Requirements of the Occupational Therapist: * – Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy. * – Recent UK experience as an Occupational Therapist, particularly with the NHS. * – HCPC registration. * – Demonstrated experience in paediatrics within a community setting. Reading offers a vibrant mix of history, culture, and green spaces. As a bustling town, it provides the perfect blend of exciting work and leisure opportunities, alongside excellent transport links to London and beyond.
