Are you an experienced Complex Care Assistant looking to progress into a supervisory role? Or perhaps you're already working as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader, or Field Care Supervisor and are looking for your next challenge with genuine opportunities for career development.

At Continuity of Care Services, we are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Field Care Supervisor to support our growing complex care services across the Thanet area.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive organisation that is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care while investing in the development and wellbeing of its staff.

As part of this role, you will also support our recently opened Restwell Retreats a fully accessible coastal retreat in beautiful Whitstable, offering individuals with disabilities and their families the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing and well-deserved break. You will play an important role in helping this exciting new service flourish alongside our established complex care provision.

About the Role

Working closely with the Care Manager and wider office team, you will help ensure our clients receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

You will be responsible for supporting the recruitment, induction, training, supervision, and competency assessment of our Complex Care Assistants, ensuring they have the knowledge, confidence, and clinical skills to deliver exceptional care.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical support. Your 40-hour working week will include a mixture of office-based duties, community visits, supporting the day-to-day running of Restwell Retreats, and providing clinical care when required. Flexibility is essential, including working alternate weekends.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside the Care Manager, you will:

  • Support the setup of new care packages and introduce new staff to clients.
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of Restwell Retreats by working closely with the office team, housekeeping staff, clients, and their families.
  • Build a thorough understanding of each client's individual needs to ensure consistent, person-centred care.
  • Supervise, mentor, shadow, observe, and complete competency assessments for Complex Care Assistants.
  • Work with the Care Coordinator to help maintain safe staffing levels across care packages.
  • Deliver high-quality hands-on care, including personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light household duties where required.
  • Participate in the shared on-call rota.
  • Promote high standards of care, professionalism, and compliance across the service.

Essential requirements include:

  • At least one year's experience supporting individuals with disabilities and complex healthcare needs, including: Tracheostomy care, Ventilator support, Gastrostomy (PEG) care, Bowel management.
  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Willingness to attend all mandatory training (fully funded).

What can we offer you as our Field Care Supervisor?

At Continuity of Care Services, we value our people and are committed to helping you develop your career.

As part of our team, you'll benefit from:

  • Ongoing CPD, clinical training and professional development.
  • Regular clinical supervision and support.
  • Paid mileage (where applicable).
  • Company mobile phone and digital scheduling app.
  • Consistent management support and coaching.
  • Enhanced pay for on-call duties and overtime.
  • Blue Light Card membership (fully funded).
  • £500 Refer a Friend Scheme (terms and conditions apply).
  • Access to Mental Health First Aiders.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (Smart Clinic).
  • Annual charity events.
  • Pension scheme with The People's Pension.

At Continuity of Care Services, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live as independently as possible, regardless of age or disability.

You'll be joining a caring, supportive team that is committed to making a real difference every day. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your leadership skills, support colleagues to thrive, and positively impact the lives of the people we care for.
