Commercial Finance Manager
North London (Hybrid Working) £40,000 - £60,000 DOE + Benefits

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading non-food sustainable packaging company that is continuing to invest in its commercial capabilities following a period of significant growth. This Commercial Finance Manager position offers the opportunity to become a trusted business partner to senior leaders, using financial insight and commercial analysis to influence key business decisions and drive profitable growth.
Working as part of a collaborative leadership team, you'll partner with Sales, Purchasing and Finance to improve customer profitability, strengthen pricing strategies, support major tenders and provide the commercial insight that shapes future business performance.
Ideal for someone with experience within wholesale, packaging, foodservice or another fast-paced B2B commercial environment.
What Does the Role Entail?
* Acting as the commercial finance business partner to Sales, Purchasing and the Senior Leadership Team. * Delivering detailed customer profitability analysis, identifying opportunities to improve margins and commercial performance. * Leading pricing reviews in response to market movements, supplier cost changes and commercial opportunities. * Supporting major tender submissions through financial modelling, profitability analysis and commercial recommendations. * Developing financial models and scenario planning tools to support strategic decision-making. * Producing accurate sales and gross margin forecasts to support business planning. * Reviewing cost-to-serve models and identifying opportunities to improve customer and product profitability. * Supporting contract negotiations by providing commercial and financial insight while helping manage business risk. * Monitoring bespoke and slow-moving inventory to minimise commercial exposure. * Producing insightful commercial reporting and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders. * Working cross-functionally to improve commercial awareness and support data-led decision-making across the business. * Driving continuous improvement in pricing, forecasting and commercial reporting processes.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent commercial finance experience. * Proven experience within Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering or Financial Analysis. * Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into commercial recommendations. * Experience supporting pricing strategy, tendering, margin improvement and profitability analysis. * Excellent commercial judgement with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders. * Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both financial and non-financial audiences. * Experience of forecasting, business modelling and commercial reporting. * Advanced Excel skills with experience using financial systems and business intelligence tools. * Experience within wholesale, packaging, foodservice or other B2B sectors would be advantageous.
