The Role

As a Fleet Logistics Vehicle Transporter Driver, you'll operate a 26-tonne multi-vehicle transporter, collecting and delivering vehicles between workshops, operational sites, dealerships, accident repair centres, third-party garages, and other locations.

Alongside vehicle transportation, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the fleet by helping maintain vehicle presentation standards and supporting general workshop and site housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-tonne multi-vehicle transporter.
• Providing operational support to a public authority
• Load, secure and transport up to six vehicles in line with current legislation and best practice.
• Plan routes effectively, adapting to traffic, road closures, weather conditions and changing operational requirements.
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments and identify safe alternative routes when required.
• Deliver and collect vehicles from workshops, dealerships, repair centres and operational sites.
• Carry out discreet vehicle movements when necessary.
• Clean and valet fleet vehicles to maintain high presentation standards.
• Assist with workshop and yard housekeeping, ensuring a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Manage site consumables, including oils, lubricants and screen wash, ensuring compliance with COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external partners.
• Provide driving support for senior management when required.
• Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role to support operational needs.

About You

We're looking for someone who is dependable, professional and committed to delivering a high standard of service.

You'll have:

• A valid Class C (Category C) HGV licence.
• Excellent driving skills with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Experience loading, securing and transporting vehicles, with an understanding of correct axle weight distribution.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of vehicle presentation and workplace cleanliness.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when operational requirements demand.
