Digital Print & Mail Assistant (Full Time, Permanent)
Location: Foleshill area
Hours: 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday
About the Role
Customer Services is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our busy Digital Print & Mailroom team, based within the administration office area. This is a varied office-based role combining administrative responsibilities with operational support for mailroom and delivery services.
You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining accurate records, and supporting service delivery across the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Scanning and validation of incoming mail
- Invoice reconciliation and processing payments
- Maintaining and updating spreadsheets and internal systems
- File scanning, storage, and document management
- Responding to internal enquiries and providing administrative support
- Supporting mailroom operations, including sorting, franking post, and dispatch duties
- Assisting with delivery and collection rounds across the city as required
- Covering other areas of the service and supporting wider team tasks when needed
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Can manage routine administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
- Has excellent communication skills and can respond professionally to enquiries
- Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Works well as part of a team and independently
- Demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Good IT skills
- Ability to undertake physical aspects of the role (e.g. mail handling and delivery rounds)
- Understanding of the range of services provided by the council (desirable)
- Please note that the role is office based
Application Process
The closing date for applications is midnight on Wednesday 12th August
Assessments will follow Wednesday 26th August and will consist of a competency-based interview and a work-based role play.
As part of the interview process, we will assess your English fluency in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act . This ensures all employees in public sector customer-facing roles meet the necessary standard of spoken English.
