About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Team as a Water Supply Team Manager working with colleagues to deliver excellent Water Services for our customers, communities and the environment.

In this role, you will oversee a team of operators and be responsible for the day to day running of a Water Treatment Work. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and water volumes are maintained and be responsible for driving continuous improvement. Key focusses are on compliance and regulatory requirements, ensuring that health and safety remain a top priority at all times.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing a team. This role offers full training to support the successful candidate to complete the various technical aspects of this role. This means we’re seeking someone with transferrable skills and an ambition to work in water treatment.

As a management role, the successful candidate will be responsible for offering constructive feedback that supports colleagues in improving their performance while ensuring they feel valued. You will aim to boost employee engagement by adopting a culture of trust, empowering your team to confidently make decisions and take accountability.

We understand the importance of professional development which means we offer opportunities for training and growth within the organisation.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.

Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.

Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked

Please note this role will require a DBS/BS7858 check to be completed prior to employment
