The successful candidate will possess a BSc Audiology qualification, or equivalent, and will be registered with AHCS or HCPC. We are keen to partner with compassionate and motivated candidates, who can demonstrate their ability to adapt in modern healthcare systems. Main duties of the job

You will be required to work autonomously, undertaking a full range of clinical duties without direct supervision. This includes undertaking a full range of adult audiological assessments, including highly complex cases. Comprehensive history taking, assessment of impact and expectations, and the use of diagnostic tests such as pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and acoustic reflex measurements. Analyse and interpret results from a range of complex audiological assessments and determine appropriate clinical actions, including the need for medical referral, treatment options, or discharge. This will include sensitively communicating diagnoses, including permanent hearing loss, to patients. Fit and programme digital hearing aids using real ear probe microphone measurements where appropriate, ensuring optimal outcomes. Provide patients with clear instruction on the use, care, and troubleshooting of devices. You will be expected to cover all UHB sites including: Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals.
