Job description

Bright Star Talent is excited to be recruiting for an experienced Specialist Primary (SEN) Teacher on behalf of a fantastic specialist school in Birmingham (B23). About the Opportunity We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Primary (SEN) Teacher to join an outstanding specialist setting supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a caring and collaborative team where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. As a Specialist Primary (SEN) Teacher, you will: * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs. * Teach pupils across the primary age range with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. * Adapt learning to support pupils with Autism (ASC), communication needs, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated additional needs. * Create a nurturing, structured and inclusive classroom environment. * Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents and the wider multidisciplinary team. * Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring lessons remain engaging and accessible. * Contribute to EHCP targets, annual reviews and individual learning plans. * Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence throughout the school day. Were looking for someone who has: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential. * Previous experience teaching within a primary or specialist SEND setting. * A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. * Excellent classroom management and communication skills. * A patient, adaptable and creative approach to teaching. * The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. Experience teaching pupils with Autism (ASC), SLD, PMLD, speech and language needs or complex learning needs would be highly desirable.
