\nAbout the Role\n
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join a well-established and growing law firm in Pontefract. This role is ideal for a motivated and client-focused legal professional who enjoys managing their own caseload while working as part of a supportive and collaborative property team.\n
\n
\nYou will be responsible for handling a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, delivering exceptional client care and building strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and other professionals.\n

\nKey Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion.
    • \n
  • Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new build transactions, shared ownership, Help to Buy, Right to Buy and other residential property matters.
    • \n
  • Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
    • \n
  • Examine title documentation, raise and respond to enquiries, and provide clear advice to clients throughout the transaction.
    • \n
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers and other solicitors to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
    • \n
  • Maintain accurate case management records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm procedures.
    • \n
  • Deliver outstanding levels of client care through regular communication and proactive file management.
    • \n
  • Support business development activities and help maintain strong relationships with referrers and professional contacts.
    • \n
  • Assist senior colleagues on more complex matters where required.
    • \n

About You\n

    \n
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or an experienced Residential Conveyancer/Fee Earner.
    • \n
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload.
    • \n
  • Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property transactions.
    • \n
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
    • \n
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
    • \n
  • Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
    • \n
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and positive approach to client service.
    • \n
