Job description
About the Role Were looking for a skilled and motivated Ophthalmic Nurse Injector to join our growing ophthalmology service. This is a specialist role where youll work as a clinical expert within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing treatment for age-related macular degeneration and other retinal conditions. Youll have the opportunity to work both autonomously and collaboratively, supporting the continued development of nurse-led ophthalmology services. Shift pattern: A range of shifts based at Croft Shifa Health Centre, Rochdale (OL16 2UP), with some travel to Bury and Tameside as required. What youll be doing * Performing intravitreal injections (IVI) for AMD and other macular conditions in line with clinical protocols. * Assessing, planning and delivering high-quality patient care within a specialist ophthalmology setting. * Working autonomously while remaining accountable for your clinical practice and decision-making. * Acting as a clinical expert and role model, supporting and advising colleagues within the multidisciplinary team. * Ensuring patient safety, dignity and wellbeing at all times through a person-centred approach. * Supporting service development, audit and continuous improvement initiatives. * Contributing to training and education within the team and supporting the development of others. * Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
