This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing quality assurance processes across the College Group, ensuring compliance with awarding organisation requirements and regulatory standards, while helping to deliver outstanding outcomes for our learners.

This is a full-time across-college role supporting provision across our Southampton, Eastleigh, and Fareham campuses.

We offer great benefits including;

Reporting to the Head of Teaching, Learning and Quality, you will support the operational delivery of quality assurance systems, coordinate internal and external quality activities, assist with audits and compliance reviews, and work collaboratively with colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

You will also work closely with the Head of Student Development & Engagement to analyse student feedback and destination data, ensuring that the student voice is used to inform decision-making and enhance the overall learner experience.

Duties

As our Quality Assurance & Compliance Officer, you will:

  • Coordinate and support internal and external quality assurance activities, including External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits.
  • Provide guidance and support to curriculum teams on quality assurance procedures and awarding body requirements.
  • Assist with investigations relating to maladministration and malpractice, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations and College procedures.
  • Track actions arising from audits, monitoring visits and quality reviews, ensuring timely completion and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and People & Culture colleagues to maintain records of staff qualifications, including Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualifications.
  • Audit quality-related documentation to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the development, analysis and reporting of student surveys and feedback activities.
  • Identify themes and trends from student feedback and contribute to action planning to improve the learner experience.
  • Collate and report on student destination data to support curriculum planning and quality reviews.
  • Contribute to reviews of business support functions from a quality and compliance perspective.
  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the College's performance development process.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as required by the Head of Teaching, Learning and Quality.

Skills and Experience

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and database/reporting systems.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience within Further Education, Apprenticeships or Skills provision.
  • Understanding of maladministration and malpractice procedures.
  • Knowledge of student engagement and learner voice activities.
  • Relevant professional qualification in quality assurance, education or business administration.

Qualifications:

  • A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
