Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Manager. As a SHEQ Manager, you will lead and implement the organisation's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality strategies, ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across all operations. You will play a key role in managing the Integrated Management System (IMS), maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the business's quality, environmental and operational objectives. In your new role: Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Manage the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant regulatory and quality requirements Lead and conduct regular audits, risk assessments, inspections and calibration activities to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risk Promote a safety-first culture by delivering training, coaching and awareness programmes for staff at all levels Oversee incident reporting, investigations and root cause analysis, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented Lead continuous improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence across health, safety, environmental and quality performance Collaborate with department leaders and key stakeholders to establish and achieve SHEQ objectives aligned with business goals Prepare and present SHEQ reports and performance metrics to senior management, making recommendations for improvement Stay up to date with changes in legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance What you will need to succeed: 3+ years' experience in a similar Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality role Relevant NEBOSH qualification (or willingness to work towards this) Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems Experience managing audits, risk assessments, investigations, inspections and compliance reporting Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards within a manufacturing environment Experience with ERP, MES or other manufacturing systems would be advantageous Understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies Good communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills Excellent IT skills (MS Office) Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't): NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent IOSH membership NEBOSH Environmental Certificate Internal Auditor certification For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
