Translate Client requirements into an appropriate and clear project delivery approach, making sound decisions and communicating effectively at all levels both internally and externally. In partnership with the Group Discipline Leader, assist the ongoing development of a high performing engineering team by dissemination of knowledge to other engineers throughout the firm.

A key focus of the role is lead and deliver the fire protection services on science and mission-critical environments such as healthcare, data centres and industrial facilities. You will play a central role in advancing the team’s technical capabilities in this area, helping to build a strong reputation for excellence.

Is this role right for you?

You will demonstrate a level of experience in the design and implementation of fire supressing/extinguishing systems, fire detection systems, smoke clearance and control systems and risk/hazard mitigation. You will be responsible for the overall design, technical delivery, quality and/or management of fire protection systems design of small to large, complex projects, co-ordinating with other design team members and project stakeholders. You will provide information on fire protection design to other engineers within the company, conduct design reviews, and assist in the development of junior engineers. As a senior engineer you will have strong knowledge of appropriate sector specific legislation, code requirements and design guidance. Demonstrated experience with any of the following key standards where used for fire protection design: British / European standards, NFPA, Factory Mutual Data Sheets.
