Job summaryWe are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Specialist Doctor in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry on a substantive basis to further develop our comprehensive CAMHS service in North Derbyshire, based in The Den at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

They will be a team player who enjoys working in a multi-disciplinary setting with highly experienced and skilled staff, striving to consistently provide excellent care.
This newly developed role would suit a high calibre of Doctor currently working in, and with comprehensive experience in, Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
As part of the senior medical team we will support you with continuing professional development and requirements for GMC revalidation.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
- Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise
- Approved Clinician (or working towards) and S12 Approval.
Desirable- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification Specialist interest or additional qualifications in other areas of specialty.
ExperienceEssential- Minimum of 6 years experience as a Doctor in Psychiatry, with a minimum of 3 years experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Ability (or working towards ability) to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Experience of working with young people and their families/carers.
- Good knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatry and wide medical knowledge
- Quality/audit project experience.
- Experience of participation in CPD.
Desirable- Psychotherapy Experience - CBT/IPT/DBT/Systemic Therapy
- Previous experience of using online patient record system e.g., SystmOne.
SkillsEssential- Clinical supervision experience/skills
- Ability to cope with stressful situations
- Basic IT skills
- Organisational ability
Desirable- leadership skills
- Ability to undertake training/mentoring of clinical staff and enthusiasm for education.
