Job description
Management Accountant Salary: £44,000 per annum Location: Belfast, Hybrid working available following successful completion of 6-month probation The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our client's finance team. This is a varied role that combines management accounting, financial reporting, analysis, billing oversight and operational finance support within a fast-paced professional services environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making and ensuring the smooth running of finance operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis. Produce regular management information and performance reports for stakeholders. Analyse financial performance, operational metrics and key business data. Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities. Manage billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Prepare journals, reconciliations and accounting entries. Assist with VAT returns, payroll-related activities and other statutory requirements. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Provide support and cover across finance functions when required. Contribute to process improvements and finance-related projects. Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations and company policies. About You You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting. You should also have: Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of finance systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a wider finance team. Full rights to work unrestricted in the United Kingdom Desirable Experience Experience within a professional services environment. Billing and credit control experience. Accounts preparation knowledge. Experience supporting payroll, VAT and compliance activities. Exposure to working across multiple finance functions.
