SEND Teaching Assistant – Long Term
Walthamstow | Full Time | September Start | £95 - £98 per day (PAYE)
Protocol Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a long term opportunity at a welcoming primary school in Wathamstow starting in September.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school where you will make a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning, build confidence and achieve their individual goals.
The Role
Full time, Monday to Friday
Long term position with the opportunity to become permanent
Supporting pupils with a range of SEND including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH
Working closely with the class Teacher, SENDCO and external professionals
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting
A calm, patient and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential with suitable experience
