\n Are you an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner looking to take the next step into leadership while helping develop the next generation of theatre professionals?\n

\n We're recruiting for an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Lead & (Practice Educator) to join a well-established private hospital with a busy and varied orthopaedic service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about clinical excellence, staff development and delivering outstanding patient care.\n
\n
The Role As Orthopaedic Scrub Lead & (Practice Educator), you'll combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership and education, supporting the development of the theatre team while ensuring the highest standards of patient care across a wide range of orthopaedic procedures.\n
\n
\n Working closely with the Theatre Manager and multidisciplinary team, you'll act as a clinical role model, mentor colleagues and help create a positive learning culture within the department.\n
\n
Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Lead and support the Orthopaedic Scrub team during elective surgery.

    • \n
  • Deliver exceptional standards of patient care throughout the perioperative pathway.

    • \n
  • Mentor, coach and support the professional development of theatre staff.

    • \n
  • Help create a positive learning environment for newly qualified and experienced practitioners.

    • \n
  • Promote best practice, patient safety and continuous quality improvement.

    • \n
  • Support service development and departmental initiatives.

    • \n
  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection prevention and theatre standards.

    • \n
  • Work across a varied orthopaedic caseload including joint replacement, spinal and trauma procedures.

    • \n

What We're Looking For\n
    \n
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).

    • \n
  • Significant experience as an Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner.

    • \n
  • Previous leadership, mentorship or Practice Educator experience is highly desirable.

    • \n
  • Excellent knowledge of perioperative standards and clinical governance.

    • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • \n
  • Passion for developing others and promoting best practice.

    • \n
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

    • \n
  • Flexible approach to service demands.
