Make a real difference in your community

Are you passionate about helping others live safer, healthier and more independent lives?

Join Waythrough, one of the UK’s leading mental health and social support charities, and make a lasting impact every day.

We support over 125,000 people each year through our 200 services, empowering individuals to overcome challenges around mental health, housing, and substance use.

About the Role
HAGA is looking to recruit a Recovery Coordinator to join our dedicated team, supporting individuals affected by alcohol misuse.

As a Recovery Coordinator, you will be a key member of our multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals affected by alcohol misuse to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. You will provide person-centred, trauma-informed support, helping service users to identify their strengths, overcome barriers, and work towards their recovery goals.

You will manage a diverse caseload, offering tailored one-to-one support alongside delivering structured group programmes and psychosocial interventions. Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, partner agencies, families, and local community services, you will ensure service users receive coordinated support that promotes independence, resilience, and long-term recovery.

This is a rewarding and varied role that requires compassion, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships with people who may have multiple and complex needs. Every day presents an opportunity to empower individuals, reduce alcohol-related harm, and help people build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a caseload of service users, completing assessments and developing, implementing, and reviewing personalised recovery plans.

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one key working sessions, structured psychosocial interventions, and recovery-focused group programmes.

  • Carry out triage, screening, risk assessments, safeguarding, and ongoing reviews in line with organisational policies and best practice.

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, partner agencies, family members, and community organisations to coordinate effective support.

  • Support service users to access treatment, healthcare, education, employment, housing, and other community resources that strengthen recovery and social capital.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records, ensuring all documentation meets contractual, clinical, and organisational standards.

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture and actively support service improvement, quality standards, and organisational values.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people to achieve positive outcomes and who can build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You will be:

  • Passionate about supporting people to achieve and sustain recovery through a person-centred, strengths-based approach.

  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build positive, professional relationships with service users, colleagues, and partner agencies.

  • Organised and able to effectively manage a varied caseload while maintaining accurate and timely records.

  • Resilient, adaptable, and confident working with individuals who may present with complex needs and challenging circumstances.

  • Skilled at motivating and empowering others to identify their strengths and achieve meaningful goals.

  • Committed to collaborative working within a multidisciplinary team and across external services.

  • Experienced in health, social care, substance use, mental health, housing, criminal justice, or another related field, with transferable skills welcomed.
