Mount Surgery has strong links to Swansea University Medical School, as well as being a training practice for GP Registrars. We also employ a broad range of support staff including Nurses, Pharmacy Technicians and Physicians Associates, with exceptional staff retention throughout the whole practice.

Main duties of the job- Provide consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients.
- Manage long-term conditions and provide preventive healthcare.
- Prescribe medications and refer patients to specialists when needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete necessary documentation.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Support training and supervision of junior staff, if required.
- Adhere to NHS Wales and GMC professional standards.

Mount Surgery has strong links to Swansea University Medical School, as well as being a training practice for GP Registrars. We also employ a Clinical Pharmacist, Prescribing Technician and two Physicians Associates, with exceptional staff retention throughout the Practice.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Experience in primary care and managing a full range of clinical conditions
- Teamwork in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
- Familiarity with EMIS and electronic health records
Desirable- Special interests, e.g. womens health, minor surgery, mental health
- Teaching or mentoring medical students or junior staff
QualificationsEssential- Medical Degree MBBS or equivalent
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council GMC
- Inclusion on the GMC GP Register
- Inclusion on the Welsh Medical Performers List
- Right to Work in the UK
Desirable- Safeguarding training Level 3
