This role offers a structured development pathway aligned to the RPS Foundation Pharmacist Framework and the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP). As a newly registered prescribing pharmacist (from August 2026), you will be supported to consolidate and develop your prescribing competencies within a safe and supervised environment.

With a strong multidisciplinary team, dedicated supervision, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully from the start, this is an excellent foundation for a long-term career in primary care.

  • Completion of the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP)
  • Regular supervision from an experienced clinical pharmacist
  • Protected time for learning and reflective practice
  • Opportunities to develop confidence as a newly registered prescriber

As your skills progress, you'll take on more independent clinical responsibilities, supported every step of the way.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to clinically assess, treat and support patients using expert knowledge of medicines in specific disease areas.
  • Deliver structured medication reviews and support long-term condition management
  • Contribute to medicines optimisation and safety initiatives
  • Support prescribing audits, quality improvement, and service development
  • Provide person-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop prescribing confidence and competence with supervision
  • Liaise with community and secondary care pharmacy colleagues to ensure continuity of care

This role offers increasing responsibility as you grow, with ample support to help you reach your full potential.

About Us

  • A friendly, close-knit team who value good communication, high standards, and ongoing development

This is an environment that suits early-career pharmacists who want strong professional support alongside an excellent quality of life.

Why Join Us?
  • A supportive, innovative and collaborative PCN culture.
  • Dedicated pharmacy technician support in every practice.
  • Opportunities to shape your role around your interests and professional goals.
  • A structured foundation year aligned to RPS standards
  • A clear development pathway within primary care
  • Dedicated supervision and mentorship
  • Access to a supportive cross-practice pharmacy team and virtual hub
  • A balanced, welcoming working environment
  • The opportunity to live in a part of the UK known for its coastal landscapes, outdoor lifestyle, and strong sense of community

If you're passionate about delivering safe, effective, and personalised care, and want to be part of a forward-thinking team that values collaboration and innovation we'd love to hear from you.
