Job description

Great Maths teachers do more than teach equations, they build confidence, encourage resilience and help students develop skills that will stay with them for life.

Protocol Education is working in partnership with three highly regarded secondary schools across Sunderland and Gateshead, seeking passionate Maths Teachers to join their teams. Opportunities are available at schools in the South Tyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland areas, with both long-term and permanent opportunities available from September.

Each school has its own unique character, but all share a commitment to high standards, inclusive education and ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. You'll be joining supportive departments where collaboration is encouraged, professional development is valued and teachers are given the opportunity to make a genuine impact inside and outside the classroom.

Whether you're an experienced Maths Teacher looking for your next challenge or an Early Career Teacher ready to begin your teaching journey, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be delivering engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students of all abilities while creating a positive classroom environment where learners feel confident to ask questions, tackle challenges and celebrate success.

The role will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge learners.
  • Supporting students of varying abilities to reach their potential.
  • Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels supported.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas and best practice.
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and committed to delivering excellent teaching while building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Working through Protocol Education offers you:

  • Competitive daily rates of pay.
  • Long-term and permanent opportunities.
  • Ongoing CPD and professional development.
  • A dedicated consultant who understands your career goals.
  • Access to a wide network of secondary schools across the North East.

If you're looking for a rewarding Maths teaching opportunity where you can inspire young people every day, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and take the next step in your teaching career with Protocol Education.
