Job description
If you’re the type of HSE professional who prefers boots on the ground over sitting behind a desk, this role will suit you. This construction & civil engineering contractor are engaged on a series of large-scale energy projects and need someone who can embed themselves in site teams, challenge when needed, and genuinely influence how safety is delivered day-to-day. This isn’t a tick-box role — it’s about communication, being visible, credible, and respected on site. You’ll be supporting live construction environments where pace is high, standards are non-negotiable, and the expectation is that HSE is part of every conversation, not an afterthought. If you're not from East Lothian, then accommodation can be provided, and the projects have an on-site chef to provide breakfast & lunch. The Role Working closely with both the HSEQ Manager and Project Manager, you’ll act as a key link between strategy and site delivery — helping ensure everything from documentation to behaviours aligns with best practice.
