Job summary
John Ryle Medical Practice is a CQC-rated Good practice with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

We are a well-organised practice with established systems, strong clinical governance and approachable leadership. GPs are supported by an experienced nursing and administrative team, and we actively promote teamwork, wellbeing and professional respect across all staff groups.

The main duties of the role include face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits to our housebound patients, along with daily admin, such as medicines management, pathology and document management.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide same day and routine clinics (face to face and telephone)
  • Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions, including undifferentiated presentations
  • Prescribe in line with national and local guidelines
  • Contribute to long term condition management and personalised care
  • Support safe triage and help manage practice workload
  • Work closely with GPs, nurses, clinical pharmacists and other ARRS roles

  • Essential Requirements
  • Fully qualified GP registered with the GMC and included on the GP Register.
  • Current licence to practise.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and commitment to clinical governance

  • Experience working in UK general practice.
  • Interest in quality improvement or service development.
  • Experience using SystmOne (although training can be provided).
