Job description

Make a lasting difference for young families.

  • Are you passionate about supporting young parents to build brighter futures? Do you believe every family deserves the opportunity to thrive?
  • At Pure Insight, we're looking for a compassionate, motivated and experienced Family Support Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Stockport.
  • You'll work alongside young parents who have experience of care, helping them build confidence, strengthen family relationships and access the support they need to create positive futures for themselves and their children.

About Pure Insight
Pure Insight supports young people aged 16–28 leaving children's homes and foster care. Through mentoring, practical support and community connections, we help care leavers develop independence, confidence and a sense of belonging.
Over the past 10 years we've expanded across Greater Manchester, delivering nationally recognised services in Stockport, Salford, Cheshire East, Warrington and Halton.

About the Role
Young care leaver parents often face significant challenges as they navigate parenthood while transitioning to independent adulthood. As our Family Support Coordinator, you'll provide tailored, person-centred support that empowers families to thrive.

You'll:

  • Build trusting, meaningful relationships with young parents.
  • Develop and review personalised family support plans.
  • Advocate for parents in professional meetings and statutory services.
  • Work closely with social care, health and partner agencies.
  • Coordinate and support volunteer mentors.
  • Deliver parenting groups, activities and peer support opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate case records and monitoring data.
  • Champion the voice of young parents and their children.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:

  • At least two years' experience supporting vulnerable parents and children.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development and positive parenting.
  • Experience working within safeguarding and multi-agency partnerships.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by care-experienced young people.
  • Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
  • Experience coordinating projects and supporting volunteers or teams.
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
  • A compassionate, non-judgemental and solution-focused approach.

Experience working directly with care leavers or mentoring young people would be an advantage.

What We Offer
We value our people and offer:

  • Salary of £27,500–£29,500 (pro rata)
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service)
  • An additional day's leave for your birthday
  • Flexible working options
  • A friendly, supportive and fun team environment
  • Extensive learning and professional development opportunities
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Medicash healthcare benefits (following successful probation)
  • Business mileage reimbursement

Join Our Team
If you're passionate about empowering young parents, committed to safeguarding children, and want to make a genuine difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help young families build brighter futures with Pure Insight – please read the attached document for full details of the role.
