Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant | Newport | September 2026

As a Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant, you'll work with pupils who need that little bit of extra support to turn confusion into confidence. Whether it's mastering times tables, understanding fractions or simply believing in their own ability, your encouragement could completely change how a child feels about learning.

Academics, a dedicated education recruitment agency, is working with a welcoming primary school in Newport to recruit a Maths Intervention Teaching Assistant for September 2026. You'll deliver focused interventions, celebrate small wins and help pupils make meaningful progress throughout the academic year.

If you've got patience, positivity and enjoy seeing those "lightbulb moments", we'd love to hear from you.

You'll need:

Experience supporting children within a primary setting. Strong numeracy skills. Confidence delivering one-to-one and small group interventions. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). Two recent professional references.What You Can Expect:
