Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated GP, committed to delivering high-quality patient care, to join our friendly and supportive team.

Glyndon Medical Centre is a well-established, three-partner PMS practice operating across two sites in Woolwich and Plumstead. Serving a diverse population of just over 7,000 patients, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, patient-centred care and working collaboratively to meet the needs of our local community.

We are seeking a Salaried GP to join our experienced multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality clinical care. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to provide excellent patient services, contribute to practice development, and help ensure the effective implementation of practice policies and procedures.

This role is offered on a part-time basis of 2-3 sessions per week (0.25-0.38 FTE) with a competitive salary dependent on experience. We offer a supportive environment for newly qualified GPs.

We offer:
  • A friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • Six weeks' annual leave plus one week of study leave (pro rata)
  • On-site parking
  • Quarterly Protected Learning Time events through our PCN and local borough federation, Greenwich Health
  • Opportunities for professional development and continued learning

If you are looking to join a welcoming practice team committed to delivering outstanding patient care, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to a diverse suburban patient population, undertaking the full range of duties associated with a GP working in primary care.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and evidence-based care, treatment and advice to patients.
  • Undertake a mixture of face-to-face and telephone consultations within 3-hour clinical sessions, supported by dedicated time for associated administrative work.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, ensuring compliance with practice policies, professional standards, confidentiality, data protection and health and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality patient records, including the use of electronic patient record systems, summarising records and clinical coding where appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives and the evaluation of services to support continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, standard setting and the ongoing development of practice services.
  • Engage in continuing professional development and attend relevant training, educational events and practice meetings as required.

Administrative support is provided by an experienced team to assist with clinical correspondence, results management and referrals.

About us
Working collaboratively with our PCN colleagues, the local ICB and other neighboring practices, our experienced multidisciplinary team consists of 3 GP Partners, a Salaried GP, 2 Practice Nurses, a Clinical Pharmacist, Physiotherapist, Social Prescriber, Mental Health Nurse and Podiatrist, who are very well supported by established and highly committed management, reception and administrative teams.

We are a small, close-knit team, who are very supportive of each other, and encourage the sharing of information and ideas.
